Vredestein offers various types and systems of cycling tires. Normal tires are attached to the rims using a flange. Once inflated, the tire remains in place on the rim. There are two types of these tires: Foldable, a tire with a folding aramid flange that is available for the Race and MTB ranges (Competition and Sport lines) and with wire mesh, a tire with a steel flange that is available for the Race ranges. (Sport line), MTB (Sport and Standard lines) and Tour / Trek / City. Vredestein folding tires in the MTB range use one of the following systems: Tube Type, conventional inner tube tire that can be fitted on a conventional rim, UST Tubeless, tire with a special flange contour and a butyl coating on the inner that replaces the inner tube that can be placed on a tubeless rim, and Tubeless Ready, a tire with a special flange contour that can be placed on a tubeless rim.
