More informationCeramicSpeed BSA30 cups come from British Standard Cycle, also known as English threading. English threading on road bikes means 68mm wide, 34mm internal diameter casing with reverse threading on the drive side. It is the most common threaded standard used today. This kit allows you to fit 30mm thru-axle cranks, like Rotor's, to fit into the tight space of this 34mm axle. Choose between two bearings for the cups. Standard bearings have low drag thanks to hardened steel races and CeramicSpeed balls. Coated bearings have those same balls installed in hardened steel coated races for longer life and less rolling resistance. The English threading is easy to work with and the unit's side cup, thanks to its reverse thread, stays in place without any additional effort. The threaded extension is thin as they must fit a 30mm shaft inside the cups. The spindle increases efficiency, as does the CeramicSpeed system. Standard CeramicSpeed bearings typically have a frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard brackets. That's thanks to the balls that are 100% softer and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. Bearings last at least 3 times longer than other bearings. TT and Track, All Round and LongLife are three CS greases designed to help bearings roll smoothly. The first is the one that drags the least, the last is the most durable. All Round comes with. You can change the grease to adjust the performance.
