WHAT IS IT? An aerodynamically optimized road handlebar with the most recent improvements for mounting electronic transmissions that will allow you to go faster thanks to its studied shape, reducing the frontal area of the rider. FOR WHOM IT IS? Road cyclists and short-distance triathletes seeking maximum aerodynamic efficiency. WHY DO WE BUILD IT? Your body is primarily responsible for aerodynamic resistance while riding a bike. To get the most aerodynamic gain, the first thing to look at is the rider's position. The SES Aero Road Bar handlebar is wind tunnel tested, not only as a very fast handlebar on its own but also as the one that puts the rider in the most optimal aerodynamic position. The SES Aero Road Bar also features a compact, yet ergonomic geometry, plus ENVE Integrated Bar End Plugs. The Smart ENVE System (SES) Aero Road Bar is constructed 100% from unidirectional carbon fiber, and is the stiffest and most competition-oriented in ENVE's line of handlebars. The SES Road Bar has internal routing for the wiring of mechanical and electronic groups, saving a few extra watts. In order to improve integration with the electronic groups, the handlebar already includes the housing of the control unit. The handlebar shape is wind tunnel tested and CFD software tested for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The bulk of the aerodynamic gain is achieved by placing the rider's body in an aerodynamic position that can be maintained for a long time without sacrificing power delivery when pedaling. The improvement in the rider's position is achieved by making the upper part of the handlebar narrower so that the rider has a more aerodynamic position in a natural way. The lower part is wider to improve confidence and freedom of handling in technical sprints, criteria and descents.
