Manastash Ridge handles everything from fast pavement to deep mud or snow. Manastash Ridge, named after a steep ridge in central Washington, uses René's revolutionary dual-purpose knobby tread. The strategic placement of the knobs means that the tire is always supported by the same amount of rubber, whether you are going forward or leaning when cornering. This gives you consistent grip at all times, whether on a muddy gravel run or during a paved descent with ultra-fast hairpin turns.
Description
Its new Brake Support technology ensures that the knobs do not bend, even under the enormous G forces generated by the best hydraulic discs. Noise cancellation technology makes this knobby tire as quiet and smooth as a slick tire, even on pavement. No matter what the backcountry throws at you, Manastash Ridge has you covered.
The Standard case is our most affordable option: comfortable and fast, but also strong to withstand considerable abuse. The Endurance casing is reinforced to provide additional sidewall protection and puncture resistance, while maintaining the speed and comfort that Rene Herse tires are famous for.
The Manastash Ridge is compatible with tubeless. For a tubeless setup, we recommend SealSmart sealant. When used with tubes, we recommend SV17 or SV18 tubes.
Pro Tip: Compared to the similarly sized Hurricane Ridge, the Manastash Ridge is a newer design with (slightly) lower rolling resistance. It is quieter thanks to noise cancellation technology. It handles even better, especially under hard braking. The Hurricane Ridge with its more open tread pattern excels in deep, sticky mud.
