Description
About the Kanzo range Although gravel bikes are almost there, their popularity continues to grow. Is there a better combination than adventure and cycling? It seems not to us. Ridley builds a bicycle that masterfully combines these two aspects. Coincidence? We believe not. With a gravel bike you can handle any terrain, at your own pace. But why the name "Kanzo"? Kanzo (or canzo) is a word that dates back to the times of the troubadours, who were the singers and poets of the Middle Ages. People who traveled a lot and lived all kinds of adventures and then turned them into stories about knights, or even love stories. Upon returning to their village, they narrated their adventures to the inhabitants, and used three genres to tell their stories. The most used was the «Kanzo / Canzo». In doing so, they moved entire communities, people were aware of every word that the troubadours said to them. Like the troubadours, at Ridley we want to encourage riders to get out there on their bikes. To discover new places or to rediscover others that they already thought they knew. About the Kanzo Speed The Kanzo Speed is Ridley's answer to those who wish to escape the peloton in one of the many gravel races that sprout like mushrooms. Think of the 200-mile Dirty Kanza of Kansas and the fierce struggle of the contestants to cross the finish line first. The 36mm rim clearance is more race-oriented, but leaves plenty of room for different settings with ample space in the frame to fit fenders. Thanks to its stable geometry, this bike fits like a glove on the longer and straighter sections of the trail. Hidden rack and fender bindings on the frame and fork give the bike a clean look when not in use. Thru-axles in the frame and fork add stiffness to the connection between the bike and the wheels. Flat mount disc brakes allow you to control the bike in all conditions, both on road and off-road.
