More informationWe recommend ordering it with the 3 most used bushing kits, #3, #4 and #5. Our references: 18117, 18118, 18119. BearingPress Instructions The tool has been designed with the mechanic in mind who has enough experience to work on their bike. The tool is designed to insert and remove swingarm and frame bearings. However, the tool can also be used to press in and remove hub bearings and hub cores. It is important to make sure which BEARING KIT is needed so that they are compatible with the bearings that you want to insert or remove. EXTRACTOR/Removing Bearings (red adapters)Place the red adapters as shown in the image. Make sure the parts are properly aligned/fit to avoid damaging the frame or frame parts. Turn the main crank until all the parts fit together, check again that everything is aligned correctly and the female adapter is aligned with the frame. Continue turning the main crank which will allow the male adapter to pull the inner race (of the bushing) and pull it into the female adapter. It's going to be harder to turn as the bearing starts to come out of the frame. After a couple of turns, stop to check that the bearing is coming out correctly and then continue.Inserting Bearings (blue adapters)Place the blue adapters as shown in the image. Make sure the parts are well aligned/fitted together so as not to damage the frame or parts of the frame. Turn the main crank until all the parts fit together, the male adapter should press on the outer race of the bearing being inserted. Check again that everything is aligned correctly and the bearing fits with the frame. Continue turning the main crank, the male adapter will press onto the outer race of the bearing and insert into the frame. It will be more expensive to rotate as the bearing is inserted into the frame. After a couple of turns, stop to check that the bearing is entering correctly and then continue.
