The Trek bike, model 2025 Checkmate SLR 8 AXS, is a carbon gravel bike that is designed to stomp and kick up dust on the longest, most demanding roads. To deliver the performance you're looking for on race day, the Checkmate combines a lightweight aerodynamic design with IsoSpeed and new Gravel Race Geometry, allowing you to increase attack pace without depleting your energy. To all of the above, we must add a SRAM RED XPLR AXS 1x12 wireless drivetrain from the previous generation, carbon wheels and a Trek Aero RSL handlebar and stem system to provide lightness.
