EVOC represents the evolution in the concept of high-quality sports backpacks, bags and luggage, with a particular focus on the proper protection of the person and the equipment.
Our Story:
1999 - For the past 20 years, we've traveled to over 50 destinations on our mountain bikes or snowboards, always in search of the best trails and powder runs. We've discovered fantastic places and found some incredible descents. But what we couldn't find was gear that met our needs. So, we started developing and producing gear to suit our personal preferences: sophisticated, high-quality products with useful features.
While filming a snowboard video in the Arlberg, we came across an avalanche. Fortunately, no one was caught, but freerider and product designer Holger Feist crashed on his way down the couloir and injured his back. The cause: the avalanche shovel in his backpack. Holger's immediate conclusion was that a back protector would likely have prevented it.
The idea for a backpack with back protection is born.
2003 - The first prototype of a protective backpack is used on the trails of La Paz. And it works perfectly! But the equipment used during this trip highlights a completely different problem: instead of arriving in a carefully packed box, the mountain bike arrives at the airport in pieces, fortunately without any missing parts. There is also no satisfactory solution on the market for transporting bicycles. This is the catalyst for developing the first TRAVEL BAG FOR BICYCLES: a bag concept designed down to the smallest detail for the safe and comfortable transport of bicycles.
2008 - Holger Feist and Bernd Stucke founded EVOC.
Quality, functionality, and durability remain our top priorities. And we are quite proud to say that we are also setting trends when it comes to design, comfort, and protection.
We still travel the world as much as possible with our sports team, although these days, increasingly with our business team as well.
We still test all our products ourselves and work every day to improve them a little more. Our DNA is in every product, and in everything we do, we try to convey our passion for sports and travel.
